The Nevada Equestrian Team welcomes collegiate riders of all ages, majors, and equestrian backgrounds. Whether you're a hunter/jumper, reiner, western pleasure rider, or ranch rider, the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) offers opportunities for everyone! Our team was created to give college students a positive and supportive environment to ride, compete, and develop their horsemanship skills.
We currently have around 30 members and primarily compete in Western disciplines, though we also have an active English division. Practices are held weekly under the guidance of our coach, Jason Diaz. We are actively seeking a new English coach to help support and grow our English riding program.
The Nevada Equestrian Team offers two membership options:
We compete in Zone 8, Region 1 of the IHSA, primarily traveling to shows in California. Long-term, our team aspires to join the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA).
