Associate Professor

Summary

I am interested in the compositional, structural, thermal and rheological evolutions of continental crust along the convergent boundaries. My interest also extends to the transfer of heat and mass (magma, solid rocks, and fluids) within the lithosphere, and the interaction between tectonic activities and long-term climate changes.

My research approach combines field study, laboratory analysis, scaling analysis, and numerical simulation with the utilization of global datasets to address geological problems across various scales, from thin-section scale to global tectonics. My study areas include the Sierra Nevada Batholith in California, the Basin and Range Province in Nevada, and the Gangdese Batholith in southern Tibet, China.
