The Department of Economics at the 麻豆影视, Reno is an “idea place,” and seeks to become an increasingly creative and valuable resource as it conducts teaching, research, and service activities. Through its two undergraduate degree programs, two master’s degree programs, Ph.D. program, and two minors, the Department transfers existing economic ideas to students.

Minor in Economics
The Economics minor is designed to prepare students for positions as economic and statistical analysts in business, government and nonprofit organizations, and for the teaching profession.
Minor in Economic Policy
A Minor in Economics Policy will provide students with the skills necessary to make well-reasoned and informed monetary policy decisions.
Bachelor of Arts in Economics
Designed to prepare students for positions as economic and statistical analysts in business, government and nonprofit organizations, and for the teaching profession.
Bachelor of Science in Economics
Designed to prepare students for positions as economic and statistical analysts in business, government and nonprofit organizations, and for the teaching profession.
Accelerated programs
The accelerated B.A./M.S. and B.S./M.S. programs encourage outstanding students in the Economics undergraduate programs at the 麻豆影视, Reno to obtain a MS degree in a shorter amount of time. A student can obtain either a Plan A (thesis) or Plan B (non-thesis) Economics, M.S. degree.

Master of Science in Economics
The Master of Science degree provides excellent preparation for those who are planning to pursue a Ph.D. in economics, finance, or a related field.
PhD in Economics
A dynamic program with concentrations in applied microeconomics, business, environmental and resource, and urban and regional economics.
All Economics graduate degree programs (MS, and Ph.D.) classify as STEM (CIP Code 45.0603: Econometrics and Quantitative Economics). Students in these degree programs can apply for a 24-month STEM extension (in addition to the 12-month) of F-1 Optional Practical Training (OPT).
